CASE

CASE at the European Think Tank Summit

CASE was invited to take part in the European Think Tank Summit “Think Tanks in a Time of Crisis and Paralysis: Catalysts for Ideas and Action”, which took place in Rome on November 20th. The meeting was organized by the well-known Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program run by the University of Pennsylvania, one of whose initiatives is the “Global Go To Think Tank Index”, issued annually since 2005. According to last year’s survey, CASE was ranked 25th among the top 30 think tanks in the world and 3rd among the think tanks in Central and Eastern Europe.

At the Rome meeting, CASE was represented by Maciej Sobolewski. The overall objective of the conference was to create a global forum for peer-to-peer exchange on regional and international issues and to help establish enduring linkages among think tanks at the national, regional and global levels. The meeting was to be a platform for discussion among participating institutions on what is the role of think thanks in the dynamically changing world and in what ways think tanks can stir important debate and effectively help policymakers.
