NEUJOBS - Employment 2025: How will multiple transitions affect the European labour market
Project description
NEUJOBS is a research project financed by the European Commission, under the 7th Framework Programme. Future possible developments of the European labour market(s) will be analysed under the main assumption that European societies are now facing or preparing to face four main transitions that will have a major impact on employment, in particular for some groups in the labour force or sectors of the economy. It will do so by combining EU-wide studies based on existing datasets with small-N comparative research dealing with one or more countries.
General Objective
The objective of NEUJOBS is to imagine future, or rather various possible futures, under the conditions of the socio-ecological transition (and incorporating other key influences), map the implications for employment overall, but also in key sectors and relevant groups and integrate all of this together under a single intellectual framework.
Project Structure and Involvement of CASE
CASE is leading the WP 8 (work life balance and welfare transformation) and WP 17 (employment of the elderly). CASE is also participating in the research activities of WP 12 (healthcare and services for aging population).
Project Output
The output will be a mix of quantitative and qualitative analysis, foresight activities and policy analysis.
