Transitions and Institutional Change: Taking Stock of 25 years of Transformation.

Christopher Hartwell, President of CASE Management Board, presented at the Trinity Economic Forum 2015 his analysis of the 25 years of economic transformation in Eastern countries. Breaking up with communism, deregulation efforts, new approaches to taxation, and economic growth - these were all tremendous changes the countries from Central and Eastern Europe underwent. New challenges, however, emerged with economic crises, often due to following western models instead of developing their own paths of transforming policies and institutions.
