MAŁGORZATA MCKENZIE (JAKUBIAK)


Dr. McKenzie's areas of expertise include innovation, economic integration, foreign direct investment, monetary policy, and international trade.

At CASE, Dr. McKenzie was responsible for overseeing all research and projects in the areas of innovation. She participated in numerous projects, most recently including the Study on the Role of SMEs in Polish Exports, funded by the Polish Ministry of Economic Development; the Study on a New Approach to the European Neighborhood Policy, funded by the Committee of the Regions; and the Project Mapping Out Vulnerable Sectors in Eastern Partnership Countries, funded by the International Visegrad Fund.

Previously, Dr. McKenzie held such roles as Economist in the Chief Economist Unit of the European Commission’s Directorate General for External Trade and Vice President of the Management Board at CASE in Warsaw. She is also the author of several scientific research papers and book chapters on topics such as trade, foreign direct investment, capital mobility and tax competition, and the EU’s Eastern Neighborhood.

Dr. McKenzie holds a PhD and an MA in Economics from the University of Warsaw. She also holds an MA in International Economics from the University of Sussex.
