Changes in CASE Management Board

We are happy to announce that as of Monday, May 19th, 2014 dr. Christopher A. Hartwell becomes the new President of CASE Management Board.

Dr. Hartwell has vast experience in macroeconomic research and applied economic analysis, private sector development, and strategic planning, having worked with both the public and private sector for over 18 years. He is an experienced international development manager, and has contributed to growth-promoting economic and financial reforms in approximately 15 countries, focusing on transition economies. He holds a PhD from SGH, as well as a master’s in public policy from Harvard and a bachelor’s from the University of Pennsylvania.

At the same time, dr. Izabela Styczynska, who has thus far served as a Member of CASE Management Board, has been promoted and appointed as a Vice-President of CASE. Dr. Styczynska several years in a variety of research and management posts. She specializes in labor market, social policy, and employment policies, and she will remain responsible for CASE business development in those fields.

Dr Maciej Sobolewski, who for the past moths has served as an Acting President of CASE and represented CASE before external partners, will remain in the Board as a Vice-President, and will be responsible for business development in the fields of ICT, innovation and energy.
