CASE welcomes Mark Allen among our Fellows
CASE is pleased to welcome Mark Allen among our Fellows. For over forty years, Mark Allen worked at the IMF until his retirement in November 2008 as Director of the Policy Development and Review Department. In May 2009, he returned to work at the IMF as the Senior Resident Representative in Central and Eastern Europe and held this position until March 2013. His role was to represent the IMF in Poland and Belarus and on regional issues related to EU New Member States and other Eastern European countries. Over the course of his career, he has also set up a number of cross-border banking forums and has worked on the European Bank Coordination (“Vienna”) Initiative, on local currency lending and capital market development in the EBCI working groups, and on the treatment of non-performing loans. In addition to being a CASE Fellow, Mr. Allen is now working independently on issues connected with the international financial architecture and Central and Eastern Europe.
