Alexandr Muravschi

Alexandr Muravschi graduated from the Chisinau Agrarian University at the Faculty of Economy and Organization of Agricultural Production where he received his Ph.D. in economics (1979). He is one of the authors of the Conception of the Agrarian Reform in the Republic of Moldova, Land Code and Privatization Program, Joint Stock Companies Law, Investment Law, Leasing Law, Law about land normative price etc. He took active part in the process of elaboration and implementation Land program and Debt restructuring program in the Republic of Moldova.
Alexandr Muravschi is a member of the board of CASE Moldova. Since 1/01/2001 he is a director of the Policy and Regulatory Unit (Private Farmers Assistance Program). He formerly held positions as director of debt restructuring team (CPBR, National "Land program, Moldova), in 1999 as Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Reforms of the Republic of Moldova. In years 1994-1998 he was a Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Deputy Chairman of the Commission on Economy, Industry and Privatization. Before 1994 he was a Chief of the Management Department at the Institute for Retraining Specialists for the Agro-industrial Complex of the Republic of Moldova and Chief of the Market Economy Department of the Institute of Economy of the Agro-industrial Complex of the Republic of Moldova. Alexandr Muravschi was a member of the Moldavian delegation in the Council of Europe (1995-1998), in 1997 he was a Vice President of the Council of Europe.
He is the author of more than 100 research works in economy.
