CASE 30th Anniversary Conference "Looking Back to Look Forward: The Future of the EU Economy"
We are delighted to invite you to the conference marking our 30th anniversary, which will take place on 23‑24 September in Warsaw, Poland.
The purpose of the conference is to bring together international researchers, policymakers, and different stakeholders to discuss the lessons learned over the past 30 years and how to bring them to bear on the challenges of the European Union and Poland specifically.
The conference will feature five panel sessions devoted to the challenges that Poland and Europe have been facing due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the corresponding policies employed by governments. In particular, we are planning to focus on global value chains, the sustainability of public debt, the labor market, health policies, and other economic and social issues. The 1st discussion panel will focus on the lessons to be drawn from the experience of the transition countries in Eastern Europe. This topic has been significant to CASE since its founding in 1991, and we believe it continues to be an important issue for discussion.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but also using the valuable experience gained working under social distancing, the conference will be held in a hybrid format: with sessions at a physical venue in conjunction with the online presence of some speakers, which will be streamed digitally allowing for live virtual attendance.
We are looking forward to your participation!
