Transmission of Knowledge and Innovation into Poland

It was an 18-month project, which had as its goal finding out if, and by which channels, theres is transmission of innovation to Poland, also determining to what degree national and 'imported' technological resources impinge on the productivity growth in Polish industry.

The conclusions of the research show that the import of technollogically-advanced goods in a given sector raises the productivity in that part of the Polish processing industry. The research, carried out by Małgorzata Jakubiak and financed by CERGE-EI, was completed in June 2002.
