Transferring V4 and Georgia Reform Experience to Facilitate Economic Development in Belarus
11/2015-02/2016
The project aimed to promote economic reform in Belarus by sharing experience of V4 countries and Georgia. Experts with hands-on experience on economic reforms in transitional countries transferred their knowledge on tax administration, attraction of FDI, and e-government and discussed ways of further economic development with Belarusian government officials, business representatives, and NGO organizations.
The overall objective of the project was to share experience in economic reforms between Eastern Partnership (Belarus and Georgia) and V4 countries and to promote economic development in Belarus.
The target audience of the project consisted of the representatives of Belarus public administration (in particular, the Ministry of Economy, the National Bank, the Ministry of the Interior), representatives of civil society and business associations.
Specific goals of the project:
1. To decrease administrative burden for taxpayers and to optimize the tax system;
2. To minimize bureaucratic procedures involved in FDI attraction;
3. To create efficient e-government in Belarus.
