Session U-08 is co-organized by CASE - Center for Social and Economic Research and CEFIR - Center for Economic and Financial Research at the New Economic School in Moscow in the framework of the X-th International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development.
This specific session will be used to present selected results of the three-year Specific Targeted Research Project on "EU Eastern Neighborhood: Economic Potential and Future Development (ENEPO)" funded under the EU Sixth Framework Program, Priority 7, contract No 028736 (CIT5) and conducted by a consortium of 11 research institutes from the EU, EEA and CIS.
ENEPO covers a broad range of issues related to economic development, trade, energy, investment, migration, institutional reforms and harmonization, development aid and political economy of the European Neighborhood Policy. Four presentations were selected to feature at the HSE Conference: two showcasing the level of economic development of CIS countries and two others addressing trade and institutional harmonization issues in respect with Russia and other CIS countries.
