Online CASE CPI: Prices in June fell on the Internet about 0,3 per cent m/m

CASE - Center for Social and Economic Research collects information about prices from the data from the Internet. CASE experts have determined that the online CASE CPI index of consumer inflation in June amounted to 99,7 in month-to-month relation.

According to the Online CASE CPI Index, prices in June increased the most in terms of the “Education” category (1 per cent) and “Transport” (0,8 per cent). Other categories that contributed to the general increase in price levels are “Alcoholic beverages and tabacco products” (0,3 per cent), “Housing and energy carriers” (0,5 per cent), “Recreation and culture” (0,4 per cent), “Restaurants and hotels” (0,1 per cent) and “Other goods and services” (0,3 per cent). Prices fell the most in the category “Food and non-alcoholic beverages” (1,9 per cent), mostly due to decreasing prices of fresh vegetables and fruits.
