New members of the Management Board
The Supervisory Council of CASE – Center for Social and Economic Research is pleased to announce the appointment of Agnieszka Kulesa and Dr. hab. Jan Hagemejer as the Vice Presidents of the Management Board of CASE. Agnieszka will be responsible for creating and supervising communication and dissemination policy as well as for the development of CASE's involvement in projects related to demographic and migration issues, and for the implementation of training projects. Jan's responsibilities will include business development and project delivery in line with CASE strategy in the pillars of trade innovation and productivity, fiscal, monetary, and financial policies. He will be developing the CASE scientific strategy and expanding the fundraising in the private sector. He will also be involved in the oversight of CASE participation in research networks and managing the institution of CASE Fellows.
Agnieszka specialises in the labour markets, international labour migration, and migration policies within and outside the European Union. She has led or participated in several research projects on migration and labour markets and authored a number of scientific articles. Agnieszka has been a panellist at events organised by Polish and foreign public, and private institutions, and regularly provides commentaries for the media (Rzeczpospolita, Newsweek, Financial Times, BBC, among others).
Jan’s areas of expertise are international trade as well as macroeconomic and structural issues. His experience includes heading the Structural Analysis Division at the National Bank of Poland as well as supervising research projects financed by the Polish National Science Centre devoted to trade, trade policy and the enterprise sector. At CASE he has led and taken part in policy projects for the European Parliament, the European Commission, and the private sector.
