The Foundation for Social and Economic Research - CASE Moldova is presenting the results of the research conducted under ENEPO -  EU Eastern Neighbourhood: Economic Potential and Future Development project.  ENEPO is implemented within and financially supported by the EU's Sixth Framework Programme.

The main purpose of this project is to examine the potential of the European Neighbourhood Policy to upgrade the relations between the enlarged EU and CIS countries in the spheres of trade, investment, labour movement, technical cooperation, and to speed up economic and governance reforms in the New Independent States (NIS), with special attention given to mutual interdependence between these areas.

From 2005, the project has been implemented by a consortium of eleven partner institutes and led by the Warsaw-based CASE - Center for Social and Economic Research.  This seminar is the third in a series of regional seminars that will also be organized in Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, and the Kyrgyz Republic.  A final conference is to be held in Brussels on 18 March 2009.

The Chisinau seminar will focus on issues of labour migration and remittances as well as FDI and the investment climate and feature local and international experts.

Representatives from  the public administration authorities, donor and nongovernmental organizations, and the academia and mass-media are invited to attend the event.
