Center for Social and Economic Research CASE-Kyrgyzstan is presenting the results of the research conducted under ENEPO - EU Eastern Neighbourhood: Economic Potential and Future Development project. ENEPO is implemented within and financially supported by the EU's Sixth Framework Programme.
The project seeks to provide an analysis of the different aspects of the European Union's relationships with its Eastern neighbours. Research centers on key areas, such as development gap, trade relations, energy policy, potential labour migration, institutional harmonization, etc.
From 2005, the project has been implemented by a consortium of eleven partner institutes and led by the Warsaw-based CASE - Center for Social and Economic Research. This seminar is the second in a series of regional seminars that will be organized in Russia, Moldova, Georgia, and the Kyrgyz Republic. A final conference is to be held in Brussels on 18 March 2009.
The Bishkek seminar will focus on the development gap between EU and CIS countries, as well as on issues of technical assistance to CIS countries.
