Intergenerational Poverty Dynamics
Presentation of the research results on the relationship between the selected determinants of employability and poverty and social exclusion. The research has been carried out within the project “Intergenerational Poverty Dynamics: Economic Hardship, Household Structures and the Effects of Social Benefits on Labour Supply” conducted by CASE Foundation in cooperation with ZEW (Zentrum für Europäische Wirtshaftsforschung GmbH, Germany).
The seminar will be held on July 12, 2002 (Friday) at 10:00 – 14:00 at the headquarter of the Stefan Batory Foundation, 10A Sapieżyńska St.
The seminar program includes:
1. Presentation of the quantitative results of statistical and econometrical analysis prepared by Miriam Beblo (ZEW), Charlotte Lauer (ZEW), Katarzyna Piętka (CASE) and Agnieszka Sowa (CASE).
2. Discussion on:
- relationship between receiving social transfers and labour supply,
- dynamic relationship between economic condition of the family and children education,
- relationship between alcohol abuse of social assistance beneficiaries and other reasons of poverty and social exclusion.
