Conference: The impact of the global financial crisis on public service delivery in economies of the former Soviet Union
On May 17 2011, CASE successfully organized a project conference in Kyiv. The 12 month study assesses the impact of the global financial crisis on public service delivery in former Soviet Union economies. CASE researchers were travelling from respective countries to present six country reports (Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine). Representatives of academia, international financial institutions and non government organizations attended the conference and contributed to a lively discussion.
The workshop was used as a platform for discussion and exchange of information. Country presentations on Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine were presented by six CASE researchers, Dmytro Boyarchuk, Marek Dabrowski, Irina Sinitsina, Petru Veverita, Lasha Labadze, Gleb Shymanovich and Marek Dabrowski moderated the workshop.
The project has been funded by the Open Society Institute and implemented in collaboration with CASE Ukraine, CASE Moldova and CASE Kyrgyzstan.
