CASE took part in the final research workshop organized within the project SERVICEGAP

Krzysztof Szczygielski and Canan Yildirim took part in the final research workshop organized within the project “ SERVICEGAP – The Impact of Service Sector Innovation and Internationalisation on Growth and Productivity” . The conference took place on November 5-6 in Mannheim. Krzysztof Szczygielski presented the topic on “Innovation strategies in the services sector and their impact on productivity: the case of Poland” and Canan Yildirim gave a presentation on “Market power in CEE banking sectors and the impact of the global financial crisis”.
The overall objective of the research within SERVICEGAP  is to produce a comprehensive study on the impact of market services on aggregate economic growth in the EU and its comparative performance relative to competitor regions, especially the US. The final conference, which will conclude the research results, is scheduled to take place in Brussels on January 28-29, 2013. The project ends in February 2013.
