CASE ranked the best think tank in Central and Eastern Europe!
More than 1,950 experts, journalists and peer institutions took part in the ranking process of “The 2012 Global Go-To Think Tank Index”. The top think tanks were chosen from among the 6,603 organizations in 182 countries that were invited to participate. Since 2006, the ranking has aimed to recognize and highlight the important contribution that think tanks make to governments and civil societies around the globe. The Go-To Think Tank Ranking provides information on the trends and challenges faced by think tanks in the globalized world.
This year CASE has been highly ranked in several categories. Most importantly, we were voted the best think tank in Central and Eastern Europe, and the second-best institution in the world with an annual operating budget of less than US$ 5 million. Moreover, the impact of CASE’s projects on public policy has significantly increased since 2011: we moved up from the 41st to the 22nd spot in the “Greatest Impact on Public Policy” category.
CASE’s influence in our main research fields, economic and social policy, has been deemed particularly important by the 2012 index. CASE is ranked 9th in the world in the “Top Social Policy Think Tanks” category, 16th in the “Top Domestic Economic Policy” category, and 30th in the “Top International Economic Policy Think Tanks” category.
