The Center for Social and Economic Research together with the Collegium of Socio-Economics of the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) have the pleasure to invite you to take part in the annual National Scientific Conference of PhD Students and Doctors (“Młodzi KES”).
This year’s jubilee X edition of the conference, which will be held on December 18, 2018, at 10.00-17.00 (registration from 9.30) in the C building (Niepodległości 128) of SGH, is entitled “Global economy in the time of change: contexts, strategies, perspectives”. Inaugural lecture titled “Arguments for etatism and economic planning. An attempt to understand the 20th century (with empathy)” will be given by prof. Adam Leszczyński, historian and journalist, author of the book “Jump into modernity. Growth policy in the peripheral countries 1943-1980” („Skok w nowoczesność. Polityka wzrostu w krajach peryferyjnych 1943-1980”).
The aim of the conference – apart from the presentation and popularization of the scientific achievements of participants in the form of a reviewed post-conference monograph – is the integration of young researchers and dissemination of knowledge. To listen to presentations of young researchers we thus invite all those interested in broadly understood social and economic sciences: economics and finance, public and social policy, political science and sociology, international economic relations and economic history, studies on territorial self-government, spatial management and regional development.
The main language of the conference is Polish, simultaneous interpretation will not be provided.
Participation in the conference is free of charge, no previous registration is required.
