CALL FOR PAPERS: CASE tax workshop “The Structure and effectiveness of the Polish tax system”
We have the pleasure to inform that the third edition of a two-day scientific workshop on economic analysis of the Polish tax system will take place in May/June, 2020 (the exact date will be announced later). The event is organized by CASE – Center for Social and Economic Research in cooperation with The Institute for Structural Research, Institute of Responsible Finance, CenEA – the Centre for Economic Analysis, Łazarski University and The European Commission Representation in Poland.
The main goal of the workshop is to build connections among Polish economists and scholars (law, sociology and psychology experts) and to review their current research. We would like to invite scientists working on both theoretical studies and empirical ones. The workshop will emphasise the following fields of research:

(Non)effectiveness of the tax system;

The distributional consequences of tax burden and benefits;

Tax incidence;
-
Tax avoidance and evasion; tax morality.
The planned program of the workshop consists of a separate panel session devoted to the role of taxes in the implementation of The European Green Deal and presentation of up to 12 papers (at different stages of development). An important goal of the workshop is to create an opportunity for discussion and networking.
Please send your papers (extended abstracts) to: case.workshop@case-research.eu until 30.04.2020. The final program will be announced in May. Participants presenting their papers may apply for reimbursement of accomodation and domestic travel costs.
We invite all interested, including those who will not present their works.
