Appointment of a new CASE Advisory Council

June 28 this year, the Council of the Foundation passed a Resolution on the appointment of a new CASE Advisory Council for 2023-2026, with Anders Aslund reappointed as its chairman. The other members of the Advisory Council are:

The Council's term of office begins on July 1, 2023.

The Advisory Council is an advisory body of the CASE Management Board and Supervisory Council. It consists of specialists representing the scientific activities of the Foundation. Its tasks include initiating projects and expressing opinions on the statutory activities of the Foundation, as well as considering other matters presented by the Management Board or the Supervisory Council.

The mission of the Advisory Council is to support the Supervisory Council and CASE Management Board in the strategy and development plans, especially in scientific and research aspects, and in the Foundation's participation in EU and domestic programs in economic and social policy.

The Advisory Council is responsible for analyzing the Foundation's activities in the context of economic and social trends and conditions, and developing proposals for possible directions of CASE's development.

Members of the Advisory Council can also contribute to the popularization of CASE's activities, particularly among the academic community, economic circles (including policy makers), and the media, as well as establish contacts for collaboration and the exchange of knowledge and skills.

The tasks of the Advisory Council include planned collaboration with CASE's statutory bodies in the following areas:

• Providing opinions on the directions of the Foundation's statutory activities.
• Formulating opinions on economic and social strategies and developmental trends, including:
  • New processes and developments in economics and society.
  • Innovations that could bring about significant social and economic changes.
  • Observed and potential financial, economic, and social opportunities and threats.
