Keynote speaker:
Hans-Werner Sinn
One of the most prominent and famous economists in Europe; Professor of Economics and Public Finance at the University of Munich, President of the Ifo Institute, Director of the University of Munich’s Center for Economic Studies, and Director of CESifo. Member of the Council of Economic Advisors to the German Ministry of Economics (since 1989). In the years 2006–2009, prof. Sinn was the president of the International Institute of Public Finance (IIPF). He holds honorary doctorate degrees of the universities of Magdeburg, Helsinki, and HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management. Moreover, he has received a wide range of other awards and prizes including the Europe Prize by the University of Maastricht (2008), the Bavarian Maximilian Order for Science and Art (2008), the Gustav Stolper Prize of the Verein für Socialpolitik (2008), the State Medal for Special Services to the Bavarian Economy (2012) and the Ludwig Erhard Prize of the Ludwig Erhard Foundation. Sinn is also holder of the Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany and of the 1st Class Cross of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The seminar will be held in English and Polish.
